Ruth Chance Law Fellow

As the Ruth Chance Law Fellow, a position that aims to provide litigation experience to a recent law school graduate, Ariana Flores assists the staff attorneys on various cases and pre-litigation matters relating to ERA’s three primary campaigns. Ariana also coordinates ERA’s law clerk program and advice & counseling hotline, where individuals from across the country call seeking assistance on issues such as sexual harassment, pregnancy discrimination, family leave rights, and Title IX concerns.

Ariana graduated from the University of Washington School of Law in 2012, where she was a William H. Gates Public Service Law Scholar. During law school, Ariana worked at Paso del Norte Civil Rights Project in El Paso, Texas, the Bronx Defenders in New York City, and spent a summer with Equal Rights Advocates as a law clerk.

Ariana has contributed to a variety or worker rights campaigns, including on behalf of janitors at her college and with Jobs for Justice, a labor-community coalition advocating for economic justice, health care, and immigrants’ rights. Ariana also previously managed the low-income referral service at the Boston chapter of the National Lawyers Guild and served as an education and policy associate at Family Equality Council, an advocacy organization that serves LGBTQ parents.
