Gay Grunfeld named Attorney of the Year

March 1, 2013 | by

Gay Grunfeld, ERA board member and name partner at Rosen Bien Galvan & Grunfeld in San Francisco, was named a 2013 California Lawyer of the Year for her groundbreaking victory in Armstrong v. Brown.  Gay and her team at RBGG obtained a federal district court injunction against the State of California, requiring it to implement a cost-effective data sharing plan that protects the safety of persons with disabilities, saves taxpayer money, and promotes public safety. Gay was also named a 2012 Attorney of the Year by The Recorder for two significant litigation victories –  her victory in Armstrong v. Brown, as well as the successful resolution of Gonzalez v. Compton where gay and her team helped reform the electoral system of Compton, California, allowing Latino residents meaningfully to exercise their right to vote.
