Work and Family ERA works
toward achieving a greater balance of work and family in our
society, so that women are not forced to sacrifice their employment
or economic security in order to care for family members.
As ERA has seen, this balance is particularly difficult for
single parents and low-income families. ERA works to
ensure that employees are aware of legal protections from
discrimination based on pregnancy and their rights to family
and medical leave.
