In the News: Stanford Failed to Stop Sexual Predator for Years, Lawsuit Alleges

December 8, 2016 | by

ERA, along with co-counsel, filed a lawsuit against Stanford University on behalf of our client who was one of four women sexually assaulted by the same male student. Despite receiving reports of the incidents, university officials failed to take action.

“By acting with deliberate indifference to that notice, Stanford subjected the women to sexual violence and deprived those women … of equal access to educational opportunities,” reads the complaint.

See coverage of the suit in NBC News, The Guardian, The San Jose Mercury News, and Palo Alto Weekly, among other outlets.
