Beatriz Rincón is Equal Rights Advocates’ Director of Finance & Operations. In addition to her lifelong commitment to the goals of our organization, Beatriz comes to ERA with a broad range of experience in both for-profit (20 years) and non-profit environments (18 years), which account for her well-honed skills in the areas of Fiscal Management, Budget Development, Financial Analysis, Human Resources, Internal Procedures, Operations/Project Management finance, planning, organization skills, cost control, and administrative management — in addition to her chemical and cost engineering background.
Prior to joining ERA, she was the CFO of Cedars of Marin and Community Partners International, the Director of Finance & Operations of Out & Equal, the Executive Director of Age Song Senior Communities (which had 110 beds in 2 facilities), and Director of Finance and Operations in SVN. Beatriz spent two years as Executive Director for HOLOS XXI, a clinical and educational organization dedicated to counseling, education, and research in the mental health field in Venezuela. From 1975-1995, she worked at the Venezuelan Petroleum Corporation (PDVSA) holding various management and engineering positions. She has also taught a course on Gas Treatment for two years as an adjunct faculty member.
Beatriz was recognized by the Venezuelan government with the Jose Antonio Anzoátegui Medal in 1983 for excellent work on the construction and start-up of the first cryogenic plant in South America.
