logo-wells-fargoCivil rights non-profit Equal Rights Advocates (ERA) will honor Wells Fargo with its Corporate Citizen award, given annually to a partner in the movement for gender equality.  The award will be presented at ERA’s 40th anniversary luncheon on June 17 in San Francisco.

For over twenty years, Wells Fargo has worked with Equal Rights Advocates in assisting  local communities. ERA’s staff has worked along-side  Wells Fargo’s volunteers, some of whom have served in leadership positions at ERA.  Currently, ERA’s Board of Directors is chaired by Ghada Saliba-Malouf, who is Managing Counsel in the Wells Fargo Law Department.  Malouf follows a line of ERA Board members from Wells Fargo, including former Deputy General Counsel Marci Rubin (who also served as ERA’s Board Chair).

“Without the commitment of Wells Fargo and dedicated team members like Ghada and Marci, ERA’s work would not be possible,” said Executive Director Noreen Farrell.  “The commitment of Wells Fargo to ERA’s mission of protecting and expanding the rights of women and girls through its support of ERA is exemplary.”

Equal Rights Advocates, based in San Francisco, is a national legal services organization that expands and protects the rights of women and girls.

A sponsor of ERA’s annual luncheon for the past 18 years, Wells Fargo has embraced this historic 40th Anniversary year as a Presenting Sponsor of an entire year of events and programs.
