How Freelancers Are Forced to Fend for Themselves Against Sexual Harassment

Broadly published an article on the prevalence of sexual harassment of freelancers, and the lack of workplace legal protections these workers have. 

“Sexual harassment, whether it takes place in person or online, is harmful,” Executive Director Noreen Farrell says. “While the law protects most employees from sexual harassment at work and includes harassment that may take place online, independent contractors and freelancers are not often helped by workplace anti-discrimination laws.”
