The chair of the Women’s Caucus, Senator Hannah-Beth Jackson (D-Santa Barbara) introduced Senate Bill 358, the California Fair Pay Act, which will strengthen California’s equal pay laws to ensure that women are paid equally . This bill aims to strengthen economic security for women in California, from addressing unpredictable and varying schedules to ensuring access to childcare. In the announcement of the introduction, ERA Executive Director Noreen Farrell discussed the ramifications of economic instability for women and its impact on the state as a whole.
