Teen Vogue: McDonald’s Employees Plan Strike Against Sexual Harassment

Equal Rights Advocates Executive Director Noreen Farrell is quoted by Teen Vogue in article about the national McDonald’s #MeToo strike, which was the first ever national walkout specifically over sexual harassment in U.S. history. Equal Rights Advocates is providing legal support to the striking workers.

 

“As the world’s second largest employer, McDonald’s could set the standard for addressing sexual harassment in the service sector,” said Noreen Farrell, executive director of Equal Rights Advocates, a national civil rights organization dedicated to fighting for women’s equality. “So far, it has failed. That’s why we stand with the McDonald’s workers who are walking off their jobs. Nothing will change unless we demand change.”
