Welcome to New Deputy Director Anna Hurtado
Equal Rights Advocates is proud to announce the addition of new Deputy Director Anna Hurtado. As deputy director, Anna will provide leadership on strategic planning, finance, and operations.
The granddaughter of Sonoma County farmworker activists, Anna brings a lifetime of dedication to workers, immigrants, and communities challenged by poverty. Before arriving at ERA, Anna was a program manager, deputy director, and then the interim executive director at Raphael House, a non-profit organization at the forefront of providing resources to families experiencing homelessness in the San Francisco Bay Area.
“ERA is thrilled to have Anna join our team as Deputy Director,” said ERA Executive Director Noreen Farrell. “She has a lifelong commitment to assisting the underserved and brings the experience ERA needs in our advocacy for women and girls across the country.”
Anna says she was drawn to ERA because it will enable her to participate in larger policy work instigating broader change and removing systematic barriers while still being closely connected to individual clients. Anna holds two Master’s degrees, one in Public Administration and the other in Comparative Politics.
