Why does equal pay matter right now?

On this day, we will highlight the fact that the average U.S. woman working full-time year-round is paid just 83 cents per $1.00 paid to the average man. When you look at all earners, including workers with part-time and part-year jobs (including those who work multiple part-time jobs), the wage gap widens to 75 cents per $1.00.
