CNN: A proposed law in California seeks to ban NDAs that prevent workers from speaking up about discrimination and abuse

CNN ran an article about SB 331 (introduced by Senator Leyva and co-sponsored by ERA and CELA), which expands prohibitions on NDAs to apply to all forms of discrimination and harassment.

ERA Senior Counsel for Workplace Justice & Public Policy Jessica Stender was featured in the article.

NDAs are inherently harmful because they prevent workers from speaking out against abuses in the workplace," said Jessica Stender, senior counsel for workplace justice and public policy at Equal Rights Advocates, in a statement.
