You want to get to know her because: 

  • Prior to joining ERA as a fellow, Lucy completed legal internships with Equal Rights Advocates, Public Justice, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Department of Justice Civil Rights Division’s Employment Litigation Section.
  • In law school, Lucy focused on gender justice issues, serving as the co-Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Journal of Law & Gender, completing independent research and writing projects on employment discrimination-related issues, and writing for OnLabor on topics of pregnancy discrimination at work and labor issues in professional women’s sports.
  • Between college and law school, Lucy worked as an economics research assistant on a project studying the gender earnings gap.

Outside of work: 

  • Lucy enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing softball, and reading a good book.
  • Lucy is also an avid fan of professional women’s sports (especially the WNBA, NWSL, and Athletes Unlimited Softball). She is driven by a love for sports and a passion for the work done by athletes and allies to fight for professional working conditions, pay equity, and gender and racial justice.
