ERA’s bill will help me care for my Chosen Family
Kaede Coronado-Acuña spoke with Bay Area Reporter about the difficulties of caring for chosen family members in times of illness or injury. Supporting ERA’s bill AB 1041, their story highlights the importance of expanding CA job-protected family leave to cover chosen family members, especially within the LGBTQI+ community. Doing so will help ensure workers can take time off of work to care for chosen family when they need it most.
