“There’s little question that bias is playing a role in Jackson’s questioning, says Noreen Farrell, executive director of Equal Rights Advocates.

It’s ‘both implicit and explicit,’ Farrell says. ‘That is the infuriating reality of Black women’s experiences vying for positions of power across professions.’”
