CBS: Transgender advocates brace for antagonistic Trump administration policies

Executive Director Noreen Farrell is featured on CBS New Bay Area discussing Trump’s announcement that the government will only recognize 2 genders, indicating threats to equal rights for transgender, nonbinary, intersex, and two-spirit people.

“I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that these kinds of orders will institutionalize discrimination in the workplace. And not just for federal employees or federal contractors. It does provide a green light for other work places and schools and students. I think the legal ramifications could be very dire and very wide-spread. Not just for the 26 million people who work for the federal government.”
