Fortune: It may be easier to sue your employer for sexual harassment now, but one huge barrier is preventing real progress

ERA Policy Director & Deputy Legal Director Jessica Ramey Stender is featured in a Fortune article speaking about how forced arbitration is a barrier to justice for workers nationwide, with particularly harmful impacts for victims of workplace sexual harassment or assault.

“We have seen that force arbitration is harmful really to workers across the board, but especially in these situations of sexual harassment and assault because of how they tend to be confidential. The outcomes and all the proceedings of the outcomes under arbitration are often kept out of the public eye,” says Jessica Stender, policy director and deputy legal director at Equal Rights Advocates.
