The Chronicle of Higher Education: Vassar Agrees to $5-Million Fund to Settle Suit Claiming Women Were Paid Less

The Chronicle of Higher Education interviewed ERA Litigation Director Catherine Bendor for an article about agreed-upon terms for a settlement in our pay discrimination class action lawsuit against Vassar College on behalf of women full professors:

“No one should be paid less just because of their gender. It’s a message to universities everywhere you cannot let pay inequity stand,” Bendor said. “We hope this settlement will eliminate gender-based pay inequity at Vassar, bring relief to our clients and the other women in the class, and help reduce pay inequity at other academic institutions.”
