The New York Times: Blake Lively’s Last Chance: A U.S. Judge’s Take on an Untested State Law

Policy Director and Deputy Legal Director Jessica Ramey Stender is quoted in a New York Times article about the Blake Lively case, which cites a law co-sponsored by ERA-sponsored law Stronger California bill that aims to protect sexual harassment and assault survivors from retaliatory defamation lawsuits.

“Even if they ultimately prevail, it’s still at a cost — both financial and psychological,” said Jessica Ramey Stender, policy director for Equal Rights Advocates, a legal organization that cosponsored the legislation.
