Earlier this month, I attended a U.N. gathering in New York for Latina Equal Pay Day (Oct. 8), recognized by ERA and partners nationwide. The event felt especially urgent given recent federal attacks on Latine workers and families.

October News & Moves

• All 9 of our Stronger CA bills for women, workers, and families were signed into law by Gov. Newsom! Check out the new laws.

• Last week we co-led Latina Equal Pay Day, a day of action with advocates and supporters across the U.S.

• Thanks to our Where’s WANTO campaign, the Dept. of Labor finally released funds to support helping more women enter construction trades.

• For Hispanic Heritage Month, we honored the activists from history who inspire our work and thank leaders like Mónica Ramírez, founder of Justice for Migrant Women for continuing this legacy.

• Congress confirmed Trump’s disastrous nominee Brittany Panuccio as EEOC Commissioner following a long grassroots campaign. Here’s what we had to say.
