HBCU Listening Session with EROC + ERA
bit.ly/HBCULS
Students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities are often left out of the national discourse of campus sexual violence. For every 1 Black woman who reports rape, at least 15 Black women do not (U.S. Department of Justice, 2003). LGBQ students of color who have been abused are three times more likely to miss school (GLSEN, 2009).
We can’t ignore the intersection between race, gender, and other identities when it comes to sexual violence.
End Rape On Campus and Equal Rights Advocates are hosting a listening session on July 26 at 12:00 p.m. PST / 3:00 p.m. EST for HBCU student survivors and advocates. We want to hear from you!
