Moms’ Equal Pay Day

Raise awareness with us on social media

Social media toolkit

Motherhood should not come with a lifetime pay cut.

Join equality supporters nationwide on August 6 to advocate for equal pay for mothers. Use our social media toolkit to raise awareness!

For every $1.00 paid to the average father, the average U.S. mom is paid:

  • 64 cents for “all earners” (full time year-round + part time and part year)
  • 74 cents for full time, year round workers

Moms, especially single mothers and mothers of color, face discrimination, lack of paid leave, and workplace policies that penalize caregiving. These barriers reduce earnings, retirement savings, and economic stability for entire families. Supporting moms means strengthening workplace protections and investing in care.

In addition to raising awareness on social media, our actions for the day include [links coming soon]:

  • Email Congress about the FAMILY Act so all workers can access to paid time off to care for loved ones
  • Tell the EEOC: don’t rescind data collection! Without EEO-1 data collection, which has been in place for 60 years, we won’t be able to identify and address wage gaps and other workplace inequalities.
