NLADA Litigation & Advocacy Leaders Conference: From Complaint to Coverage
University of Cincinnati College of Law
2925 Campus Green Dr., Cincinnati, OH 45221
Associate Director of Strategic Communications Jess Eagle is presenting on a panel at the National Legal Aid & Defender Association (NLADA)’s annual Litigation and Advocacy Leaders Conference.
The panel, “From Complaint to Coverage: Leveraging Litigation to Shape Public Understanding,” will explore how strategic litigation can do more than win legal victories. It can reshape how the public, the media, and policymakers understand the lives and needs of systemically oppressed communities. This session explores how advocates can use litigation as a communications opportunity, from framing the complaint to engaging media, elevating client stories, educating the public, and sustaining narrative change beyond the courtroom. Participants will learn practical strategies to align legal and communications goals to advance long-term policy change.
Other presenters:
- Andy DiAntonio, Director of Communications at National Health Law Program
- D’Anelle Desire, Director of Communications at The Tennessee Justice Center
