Stop federal attempts to silence CA student survivors!

Join students across California for an interactive video discussion and informational session about SB 493, a crucial bill to protect California college student survivors of sexual violence from federal attacks on their rights. (Learn more about SB 493 here.)

Featured Speakers:

  • Amelia Wagoner, student survivor & survivor activist who has testified to CA Congress about the importance SB 493; recipient of ERA’s 2019 Emerging Leaders of Courage Award
  • Jessica Stender, Senior Counsel for Public Policy at Equal Rights Advocates, one of the bill’s sponsors
  • Hosted by Jess Eagle, Strategic Communications Manager & grassroots organizing expert at Equal Rights Advocates

Following a brief explanation of the bill, Ms. Stender will be available to answer questions. Then, students from around the state will brainstorm ideas with one another about how to rally support for the bill on their campuses.

We hope you’ll join us! Please also feel free to share the registration link on social media, or directly with other students who might be interested. Thank you for fighting with us for student survivors’ rights!
