Noreen Farrell, a civil rights attorney, leader on gender justice, and executive director of Equal Rights Advocates, told NPQ that less public discourse from an organization means “there’s no longer a visible standard for anyone to be held to.”

“The real danger for women in the workplace is the slow disappearance of any shared expectation that employers are supposed to be doing this work at all,” said Farrell.
